This book is a story of the power of music and its influence on our day-to-day lives. It is also the story of one person’s odyssey and adventures through life and music. It was a time when Ireland was adapting to a changing world – a world which challenged traditions, values, attitudes and ideas.

These changing times were reflected in and defined by the many styles of music ranging from Classics to Pop. Music that generations loved and enjoyed and which often carried them through the ups and downs of life.

Reading through this book we will discover 1,000 songs and strings that are milestones and memories for music lovers. Not only that, but we are invited on a treasure-hunt to find for ourselves some of these pieces of music, often hidden in the text, but with hints to aid the curious reader!

A great musical tour of Dublin! Loved it, particularly the memories of the Zhivago. He’s a great storyteller. Highly recommended!
