About Author/Editor

Dr Abbie Lane is a consultant psychiatrist and associate professor at UCD. For almost twenty years she led a clinic specialising in stress assessment and management based at St John of God Hospital in Dublin. In 2013 she set up her own practice, The Gulliver Clinic, and now provides assessment and advice to individuals and groups. She is also an Associate Dean of St Patrick’s Mental Health Service.

Dr Lane has published extensively, both nationally and internationally, and has collaborated with major institutes in London, Sweden and the US. She collaborated with Brenda O’Hanlon on Stress: The CommonSense Approach (1998) and co-edited Understanding Mental Health (2005).
